i first discovered royal coach years ago in college and honestly had not been back until about 2 years ago. But boy am I am happy to come back. The food is good. Now this review is entirely about breakfast and brunch because in my mind thats what a diner equates to outside of burgers. I have not come here and not thoroughly enjoyed my meal, left a bit tipsy from a mimosa or cocktail and still had leftovers to take home. If you're in the area or in the delivery range for seamless (i use them there too) i highly recommend. My favorite order are the thick cut french toast, pork sausage, and soft scrambled eggs with american cheese. Thank me later! The only reason i don't give them 5 stars is lack of attention to removing the used coffee creamers in between parties. when going on a weekend on a few occasions i can see the empty containers are left in the dish alongside the closed one. I notify the server who then brings a "new dish". Yes its gross but I removed that from my mind for that french toast. After noticing the pattern I just stopped ordering coffee. Don't judge me please!

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE CRABLEGS!! I grew up in the neighborhood, but I currently reside in Manhattan. The food was really good. I ended up getting 2 orders. The service was quick but also efficient. The ambiance is cute. I see they redecorated. My family and I are faithful to city island but now that we know the royal coach is doing good with the Crablegs, city island might not be seeing us for a while. Lol Keep up the good work Royal Coach!!

In all honesty ibhavent been back here in years ever since it was first sold be the original owners. My aunt and mom came in with these new owners and said the food was good, so when my mom asked me on a date (mommy daughter date) we agreed to come here and let me say I happy we did. We started with the skirt steak quesadilla, omg this was amazing and so flavorful, no extra salt or pepper needed. Mom got the oxtail meal and as you can see it came with a lot of food. I got the 3 cluster snow crab I. Scampi sauce with 2 sides. When I tell you this place did not disappoint it really didn't. It was worth coming back after not coming for so long. The place was as I remembered it, just real cool diner vibe, music wasn't to loud that you could still have a convo with your person. I can proudly say I will be coming back.

Run don't walk to this diner!!!! Today was my first visit the food is excellent - the menu does have eggs and such but why would you ever eat any thing but the Caribbean items this menu delivers with precision. The service was terrific and the ambiance good. Bravo to the chef - he's Hispanic and fabulous. Go and enjoy!!!!

Walked into this diner very unassumingly, just wanted to grab a quick meal and go on about my day. After looking over the menu, I was overwhelmed by the options. Everything sounded delicious. We decided to go for appetizers: chicken noodle soup, bacalaitos (cod fish croquettes with chipotle mayo) and the maduro with picadillo (ripe sweet plantain with ground beef.) The appetizers left me longing to try something else, so we went for the king snow crab legs in scampi sauce with tostones. Everything was soo good, and the portions are perfectly sized (enough for two.) This is far from a traditional diner, and we are so glad we found this place. Our waiter was Juan, and he gave us just the best service-- be sure to ask for him and get great recommendations.

I had breakfast last weekend at the RCD. Nice treat! My guy recommended it, although he stated something along the lines like, "I hope that everything is still good and we're not subjected to "after COVID inconsistent cooking" that seems to be affecting a lot of spots." We took the chance and were happy that we did. I liked the fact that the building was actually a diner... gaudy, kitschy, and yet interesting. We were seated in a big, comfy booth with a view of the sizable parking lot... a dream for (over)developers (NOT!!!). It was busy, our server was very pleasant and accommodated us in every way throughout our meal. We started with the buffalo chicken spring rolls. They come with a side of blue cheese dipping sauce and were really nice and crispy on the outside, as well as very flavorful and full of well-seasoned chicken on the inside. Dude raved about the chicken fingers, but was hesitant, but I wanted to try them, especially after he raved about them. They were also really good, although were not the Bedrock-sized tenders he was accustomed to having. The portion was very good and homemade honey mustard dipping sauce was really yummy. My boo ordered a traditional breakfast... eggs, home fries, toast and bacon. The portion was very big with lots of eggs and home fries. He inhaled it LOL! I ordered the bacalitos and eggs, which was a dope ass option. My plate came with home fries and toast as well. It was a LOT of food. As soon as the plate hit the table, I knew I was not going to be able to finish it. It looked so yummy and it was indeed... well-seasoned, not salty... savory and comforting. I ate sloooow (a norm when I really like something and it's new to me). I look forward to returning and trying new items. Pleasant experience and great service and food... Tee hee hee, and leftovers!
